About
I’m a public-sector strategist focused on turning strategy into action.
Biography
My work sits at the intersection of strategic planning, performance management, organizational improvement, and public service. I’ve worked across federal government, national service, and public transportation, with a common focus: helping complex organizations make better decisions and follow through on them.
I’m currently Deputy Director of Strategic Planning at the MBTA, where I work on long-term strategy and organizational priorities for the Boston region’s public transportation system.
From 2020 to 2025, I worked at AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service, on organizational performance and strategic planning. I held several roles there, most recently Senior Performance Manager and Deputy Performance Improvement Officer. In 2023, AmeriCorps detailed me to the Office of Management and Budget, where I worked as a performance manager on strategic reviews and government-wide performance initiatives.
Before AmeriCorps, I started my career at the Institute for Emerging Issues and then held a Fulbright fellowship in Norway.
Those experiences have shaped how I think about public-sector work: ambitious goals matter, but the harder and more interesting question is how an organization turns those goals into everyday decisions, investments, and results.
I hold a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and two very different B.S. degrees from NC State University: Materials Science and Engineering, and Political Science.
Outside of my day-to-day work, I write about government strategy, organizational performance, branding and visual identity, and the challenges of turning good ideas into meaningful public impact.
